Meet Wendy
Person Centred Counsellor
Hi, I’m Wendy.
I’m a warm, friendly, and approachable counsellor, passionate about supporting my clients on their own unique journeys.
I offer a calm, safe, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind, explore your experiences at your own pace, and begin to find a way forward that feels right for you.
Put simply, I’ll ask, “How are you today?”
As you take your time to consider and answer this, I’ll be alongside you, listening with care and without judgement, as you share whatever feels important.
I offer:
-
in person sessions in Leeds and Wakefield, £50 per session
-
online sessions for UK residents, £40 per session
-
1 hour sessions, on a weekly or fortnightly bais

Why Counselling?
One of the biggest misconceptions about counselling is that you need to be in crisis before you seek support. In reality, counselling can be helpful long before things reach that point.
You might be feeling sad, angry, confused, or overwhelmed, anxious, and alone. You could be going through a big life change, dealing with a loss, facing health challenges, working through past trauma, or just finding everyday life harder than usual.
It could be that it’s been a long time since you’ve felt able to be truly open and honest, with yourself or with others, and you’re not quite sure how you feel anymore. Your feelings might seem so overwhelming and noisy that it’s hard to know where to begin.
Whatever’s brought you here, it matters and your experience is your own.
I offer a space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

Some comon questions
How often will we need to meet? This depends what feels right for you. Often people start with weekly sessions, giving us chance to get to know each other, then we can check in and decide whether to continue weekly or space sessions out more.
How long until I feel better? There isn’t a simple answer to this, as everyone’s experience is different. Counselling isn’t always a straight line—there can be ups and downs along the way. We’ll move at your pace, and over time you may begin to notice shifts in how you feel and understand yourself.
How much does it cost? Face to face sessions cost £50 and Online sessions cost £40
How will I know when to stop? You’re free to end counselling whenever it feels right for you—there’s no minimum or maximum number of sessions. We’ll keep things open, with regular check-ins about how it’s going. If you’d like to take a break or stop, that’s absolutely okay—just let me know

I offer an initial free 30-minute telephone conversation, which allows us to get to know each other, helps me understand your individual needs, and assess how I will be able to help
